Today Auntie Jamie and Mom did a little damage at Babies R Us. We got a food mill so Jack can start eating "real" food among other things. The most fun purchase was a "Bumbo" seat. Here is Jack for the first time in his new Big Boy chair.

Visitors!
Jack is about to have some visitors! Auntie Jamie is arriving tomorrow, and Grandma Cathy is arriving the following week. As of today he was about 14.5 lbs. He is really getting the hang of rolling over- and is thrilled that he is so good at it too- big smiles. Crawling may not be in the too distant future, because he is starting to make tracks by scooting around. One of these times we will learn how to post videos!!

Speaking Jack's lingo
Jack makes this little chuckle every time you do something he likes/wants. He did it just now when adjusted to a better position to sit and look, when he watched mom brushing her teeth, and it was the same one as petting the cat.

Furry Friends
Jack is noticing the cats more now. He is especially intrigued by their tails. When he pets them he sometimes gives a little laugh.

Rolling over!!!
While Mom was out at a class she's taking for 1 credit (of course.....)
Jack rolled over for the first time!!
5 days before the 5 monther mark. Dad said he looked rather surprised after it happened, but looked excited about it.

1st Week of Daycare
Jack seems to have fit right in with the other kids from day 1. They all want to touch him but his caretakers are great about keeping him up high, not to be touched till he is older. He even already knew Peyton, Kim's youngest that goes there too. Jack is still always constantly alert, looking at everyone and everything.
Jack had his first bites of rice cereal the day before last. He didn't seem completely full after his bottle anymore so Dad tried the big boy stuff. He did really well with it!

Jack First Day of Daycare
Jack was dropped off after 6am so Mom had plenty of time to make it to work. He seemed to really like the caretakers (he even giggled at them) and reportedly enjoyed "Circle Time" (where songs are sung and such). Jack is social and likes to observe things, so he should really enjoy himself until he can really jump in and join in on the fun. And yes, it was hard for Mom to leave him-- she had to leave pretty quickly this morning. But it will be easier now knowing things are going to go so well!
