Jack is fascinated with buildings....well, ones that blow up or seem to be otherwise breaking or exploding. He saw photos in a local gallery of Frank Gehry's Lou Ruvo's Center for Brain Health and wanted to see it in person. He called it the "broken building," and it took him a bit to understand that this was a finished building and not still under construction. See below, (this is not our photo)...After seeing the real thing in person he took an empty macaroni box, tore it a few times so it had a nice organic shape, and called it his "Gehry Building."
He also likes projections on buildings, especially this one:

When we were on our flight to WA for Christmas, a woman sitting by us asked Jack some questions. He started to tell her about his plan (unbeknownst to his parents) to build a big hotel in Bellingham. When asked, he said it would have a pool, and added, that people would wear their swimsuits to. He said the furniture would be gold (the treasure kind, as we had just watched a show on digging up lost treasures). He also plans to build a ticket booth to sell tickets for people to come to the construction site. (There were probably more details that have been forgotten by now). We were all waiting to get off the plane, so people nearby were listening and their eyes widened as he said this, and they asked just how old he was. He finished by saying, "I'm done talking now." And everyone laughed.
When asked about this plan just now, he remembers his plan to build the big hotel with the pool, and now says there will be "a broken building inside of it" (perhaps as pictured below).

Jack's Creation's Gallery
Here is the little man with the house that he built surrounded by a fence "so no dogs come in."
