Getting Around...

No walking on his own photos just yet...at daycare today he would go two steps then go to the ground because it scared him a little. Went to the Doctors today because his cold turned into a deeper crackle in his chest. He has also been very wheezy. We now have a mister/breathing treatment to do every 6 hours or so to help. JD is still small....he is proportionate to his height (28.5") but only in the 3 percentile for weight! He is 18 lbs 8 oz.

Walking!?

The day after he turns one, Jack takes two steps! This just happened today at daycare, and we have not seen him stepping out just yet. We can't wait to see it! Just now we are watching Amadeus and there is an operatic scene and he is dancing.

"Where's the ball Jack?"

The ones of Jack in overalls were taken today for his birthday! He wasn't feeling very well at daycare today and slept a lot.... The ladies at daycare gave him a cool helicopter toy and truck, and clothes! They are so sweet! Both of them make noise so Jack should really enjoy them. Happy Birthday JD!

Talking and almost walking

Jack's balance is getting better and better. He can walk pretty well when being held by just one hand. He slides down off of furniture with no problem. His latest thing is pointing up and saying "up" or "out" for outside. He also just started shaking his head from side to side with the cutest look on his face, then smiling. At daycare he will shake his finger back and forth because he has seen it done accompanied by a "no" many times! When he gets upset, he gets very upset these days. He detests having his diaper changed now. He has sounded like he said "purple" and is especially good at words beginning with "b" like bear. He turns one tomorrow!!!

Midnight craving

Jack has been waking up every few hours at night. He has slept through the night-- 8 hours, sometimes more, since only a few months old. Mom finally figured out he was hungry. It must have been around midnight when he pounded a bottle. Then he had his usual bottle around 5am before leaving for daycare. Growing boy!

Ball and Boo

Today Jack very clearly said "ball," repeatedly. AND he said it while holding one! He will pass it back and forth to you too. Here are a few photos from the other day. Just now he was saying something that we finally figured out must be "Boo." The way he was saying it clued us in....as his Dad said, "he gets cuter and cuter every day."

More words

Jack is currently playing in his "corral." He has a toy puppy that Kim and her son lent him. He loves it. It just sounded like he said, "Hi Dog." Gina at daycare says he says hi "Eena." She also confirmed that he does say "light." He has had a bit of a fever since Saturday night, but is doing better today.

Huh?

Today at daycare Jack demonstrated how he says, "Huh?" after someone says his name. He also says his name. How old are you Jack, like, 10?

Boulder City Arts Festival

Another new tooth has broken through! This one is on the left of his two bottom front teeth. No wonder he was a bit fussy the other day or two. Jack had fun last weekend with Aunties Kim and Jamie at the Boulder City Arts and Crafts Festival. He waves really well now when he first sees someone and waves goodbye. Daycare said that he also says "bye." He also says "up" and holds his arms out to be picked up. When he wakes up now, very groggy, he points immediately. So funny!
