Off to WA

Very sleepy- en route to Boise
(above) Wearing out Jack before our flight to Bham. The walkway was stationary so it worked well for him! He was worn out enough by the time we were taking off, his eyelids were closing. He slept until we were making our descent! Not all flights were that easy- like the ones going to and from ID. He was much more energetic then, and sleep deprived. But even so he was still pretty good. On our return flight from Boise, he said "airport" when we were getting out of the car and taking our luggage out. When asked, "did you just say airport??" He replied, "ya" while nodding. :D

Lessee and Jack

A farewell to daycare last Thursday (since Jack will be out of town in WA for 3 weeks!)
Layton his buddy is in the red. You can see how much Lessee loves him- even despite the fact that he is still a bully there! That day he had punched and kicked a bear stuffed animal. He bullies around the younger kids that won't do anything back. Layton does not have a mean bone in his body yet Jack will still push him and grab toys that he wants from him. Even so, Layton must be forgiving because he gives Jack the biggest smile and hugs when he arrives at daycare.

Jack's vocab

Jack's frequency of the word 'no' is definitely increasing!! It is fun to watch him comprehending things more and more-- like when he asks for milk and you tell him it is empty, he will say 'milk' (still "maht") while shaking his head no.
It is very hot here now- in the 100s, and finally that is lessening his wanting to go outside. He still plays when it's shady though. He still loves daycare, in fact he does not usually want to leave. Layton, who is a few months younger always greets him with a big smile and they hug. So cute! Yesterday the dynamic duo threw 4 loads of folded laundry and baby wipes all over before they were caught.

The first time he saw his new hippo pool, he said "thank you!"

Jack's first time in his pool

Looking at his shorts filling up

He was very trepidatious at first. Finally he gathered the courage to sit in the water after getting in and out many times!
