Jack is feeding himself with a spoon this morning! First time ever...he was pretty excited to do it.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Down?

Jack has started to pretty clearly say "down." Today Mom was holding him on the couch and he said "down" and got down. He then pulled on Mom's hand very decidedly and said "down" so she would come and play!

He also enjoys pulling the girl's hair at daycare. He loves to give high fives, even air fives. He also seems to be saying No (but it sounds like neeeeh) and shakes his head back and forth when he is doing something bad. He will probably be doing this quite often! He is having more and more time outs when we ask him to stop something and he continues doing it. Usually he stops when threatened with "time out" but sometimes we have to go sit in the corner with him.

Jack is getting to be such a big boy-- and much more independent. He still enjoys a good cuddle though!

Sharing is Caring

Jack now tries to feed you his food. What a generous guy! Right now his is enthralled with a Baby Einstein dvd on animals. A monkey was shaking it's head back and forth, and Jack did the same thing. He said "buh" when the birds were on. He is cuddling with the cat now and pulling his tail. He says "ahhhh" when he hugs/cuddles things. He likes to dance too.

Busy Boy

Jack used one of the ladies at daycare's cell phones today to call 2 different people. He is also starting to climb on top of things. Even right now! Time to bolt things down. He is refusing to take his nap.

Speed walking

Jack is even better at balancing. He still sometimes walks with his arms up-- but now they are more at his sides. He is even so good that he can walk while drinking a bottle or holding something. He is very very quick, too!

Cat?

Just a few minutes ago, a commercial with cats in it came on. Jack was interested, then pointed to the tv and said "cat." (He says it without the 't' now though).

Jack wore himself out today walking laps around the house. He was actually in bed before 8pm tonight-- the first time in a very long time. Earlier today Mom was yelling "Robert" up the stairs repeatedly (while he was playing on his keyboard and could not hear her). Each time she would yell "Robert" Jack would yell "Dad" or "Dada." It was the cutest thing. This went on for awhile although he still did not hear us. He is getting quicker at walking, and better at balancing. He still walks with his arms straight up in the air. Working on posting photos.

PS Jack is walking all over the place! He can practically take a lap around the entire downstairs in one streak! And, his balance is so good that he paused to grab something from Dad and still stood up.
