Today at school Jack was bit. The kid wanted a toy that he was playing with but Jack did not want to give it up. So the kid bit him on the back of the shoulder. You can barely even notice it, although Jack said he cried.
Jack has not been innocent at school. There have been reports of him not keeping his hands to himself and hitting or pushing. We have had serious talks and consequences and he seems to be better now.
He is going to be a Ringbearer for the first time soon in Auntie Mandy's wedding! His teacher says Jack is good about following through when given a responsibility so he should do a great job!
He has a BFF at school named Hayden. From the first day they played together. They are both too cute, giving each other hugs. Jack talks about him a lot, and his friends' mom says that he does the same too!

Poor Jack
We went to a birthday party for Peyton Friday at Chucky Cheese's. Jack was so excited to go there. Our GPS sent us to the wrong location, and we should have taken that as a sign. Jack was very patient along the way. We finally arrived and Jack had a lot of fun. He was the only one from the group that just walked up to Chucky to tell him 'hi' and high-five him on his own.
Turns out one of the kids was sick but we did not know it yet then. Jack was feeling a bit unwell that night but it did not kick in until later yesterday. He complained about his stomach hurting and eventually threw up. After he did so for the first time in years really, (he only had one a few days where he was throw-up sick but only two or three times over three days)....he said "thank-you Mama for helping me spit." Leave it to him to take the time to use good manners in such a situation. He continued to be sick about ten times over the night to morning. He is taking it easy but getting better today.

Preschool
The first week of preschool has been going very well. On Valentine's Day they exchanged cards and Jack came home with a huge bag of them. The cards he gave out were of course from Cars (the movie). That was the same day that when Mom went to pick him up and he first saw her....he was in a car thing playing on the playground and lurched out and did a face plant. That was his first real bleeding incident he's had. His mouth bled a lot but stopped soon after and not long after that he was fine.
He really enjoys school and is excited to go every day. Dada drops him off early in the morning and Mama picks him up, so it works perfectly. He talks about one of his friends at daycare a little but otherwise does not seem to miss it and does not want to go back.
He is cooking dinner with Dad right now. Just heard him say, "OK man." He says some funny things these days and is talking really well!

First Day of Preschool
Today was Jack's first day of school! He was extremely wired after being picked up- although he was calm at school. His teacher said he did really well- and seemed to naturally know the 'routine' (a nod goes to his first daycare for that one!) His classmates were so cute and it was fun to see a room full (well, maybe 10-15) of kiddos his size. Tomorrow for Valentines Day they are passing out cards to each other. :)

Jack says the darndest things
Jack was just asking if his eyes were 'stuck' (as in, in his head). He asked if they were glued in, and who 'built' him. Ummm Dada, can you take this one?
