Sledding in CA- JD and a friend he met there

Drs Appt

Jack had a visit at the Doctors yeasterday. He is now in the 10th percentile for weight (he was in the 3 percentile last time at a year old). He weighs just over 21 lbs. The doctor said he is looking and doing really well. We had to wait back in the room for a long time but Jack kept busy running around, spinning, getting into drawers, etc. He was not happy though after his two shots. :( Did well last night though.

The other day he said "spice" very clearly after having some spicy soup his Dad had made. He actually seemed to like it. He says "toes" and is still working on his numbers.

At 15 months Jack:

loves to spin in circles by himself and seems to enjoy getting a little dizzy

says the letter 'O'

has 8 teeth with 4 molars coming in

says "daycare" "thank-you" "diaper" and other two syllable words, although he is still working on pronunciation

says difficult words like "socks" and "shoes" and likes to put his shoes and "coat" on so he can "go" (he loves to go places and is a great traveler)

still loves his blankie and says "night-night" when you give it to him

has been to Fiji, WA state and CA (NV too of course)

can reach things higher up than he used to

can flush the toilet (at daycare-- no, he is not using the toilet though!)

also occasionally goes to 'time out' on his own

New words and getting better at old words

The first video was taken today in the car before leaving daycare. The second one is from last weekend on Jack's first gondola ride. He learned to say "wow."

Counting and other things Jack likes to do

We have not had any hitting reports since the last one at daycare. Jack continues to want to go outside. Today Mom heard him saying 'door' when she arrived at daycare today. He was ready to go! They say if the daycare ladies sit with him during circle time, he will sit still and absorbs everything like a sponge. He is a great listener, even better than the other kids at times. They must really be working with him on counting because when you say "one"...sometimes he will say "two." If you say "three" he might say "four." He might even count to five-- it's kind of hard to tell.

He currently enjoys: pushing the coffee table across the living room, dancing, singing (a little), and loves to sweep and vacuum. He also loves the train from daycare. He also loves balloons!

He just licked his Dad sock and made a face and an equally disgusted sound!

Jack the bully?

Does this look like a face capable of mischief? Ohhhh yes. One minute he is clinging to you while patting you for a hug. The next he is hitting another baby at daycare. That baby happens to be a few months younger than Jack, and very sensitive. So he was of course not happy. At home today he requested "cheese" then "juice." He pushes the coffee table across the room. He still yanks at the cats fur and pulls tails. They still have not scratched him, the nice kitties!

More words and TEETH!

Added to Jack's vocabulary: cheese, (trying to say) hot, good, please. We recently taught him to sign please and last night he signed it and said it at the same time. He is napping after a bowl of blueberry oatmeal. The flight back to LV was ok.... he had slept nearly the entire ride there. On the way back he was awake for much longer- making it especially difficult on the last leg of the trip. But we made it! While he was entertaining people behind us on the plane (he was smiling and shaking his head back and forth) and low and behold, new teeth! So he had the four on the bottom and 4 above on the top. Now he seems to have one molar on each section of his gums. He did not really lead on that they were coming through except for some extra chewing back there.
