Teething troubles

Jack has been either really good, or REALLY cranky. He has been teething for what seems like forever. He has a tooth that seems to be slowly coming in on his upper right side. Poor kid! Poor parents too- we have been hit, pushed, and verbally abused.

Scared Superheroes and Church!

Jack is frequently "scared" now....actually it sounds more like 'ked.' His vocal skills are really improving. Today he went to church for the first time. Daycare offered to take him. They have been asking to for a long time now. Sounds like he had a fun time.

He is very into superheroes. He insisted on getting a Spiderman toothbrush (even though he hates having his teeth brushed these days). He even knows the moves Spiderman makes and tries to sing the song "Spiderman, Spiderman...." He identified Batman on Dada's shirt too.

Drs Appt

Went to the pediatrician today because of Jack's excessive blinking. It is mainly in his right eye although he normally blinks both at the same time. They are not red and he rarely rubs them or even more rarely says they are bothering him. He does not seem to be aware that he is doing it and it does not seem to affect his vision. We basically knew it was common and likely a "tic" and his Dr confirmed that. She said to come back if it progresses but should go away over time. He has been doing this for a week or so now.

Today he weighed in at 24lbs 13oz 34.50 height.

While in our separate room waiting for the doctor, Jack was all about dinosaurs. We were looking out the window and he kept saying there was a dinosaur right there and that it was coming. He acted like he was scared and sometimes roared loudly. The dinosaur was also around while we were driving home. At one point he was by a tree eating oatmeal. He also mentioned waffles a bunch of times in the car. He seems to be having a tooth coming in (he won't let you see back that far into his mouth though) and has actually been teething on things!

No more Triscut's for Jack

Today Jack choked on a Triscut cracker, but he is ok. He threw up a bunch....then said "all done, I made mess, my mess." Only Jack would be so concerned about making a mess in that situation! He freaks out if he drops one macaroni shell on the ground.

Conversations with a 2 year old

Mama: Yaaaawwn.
Jack: Wake up, Mama!
Mama: But I'm tired Jack.
Jack: I'm tired too Mama.

Jack spills milk.
Mama: Uh-oh.
Jack: I clean it Mama (wiping table with towel). It's all-right Mama, it's all-right.
