The funny things Jack says and does
It's pretty endearing when Jack says "all-right" and "ok," sometimes while nodding his head. The way he says "please" (pees) and signs please at the same time never gets old. But it takes the cake when he does something naughty (or almost does something naughty) then successfully uses the art of distraction by smiling hugely and waving "hi" at the person who he needs to distract from his wrong-doing.

First Day Home Sick :(
Jack was acting normal except for not eating much yesterday and maybe even Saturday as well. We went to the store and just as we pulled into the garage, he threw up all over himself and all over his carseat. Poor kid, that was the first time that he's gotten sick like that (the closest thing would be his constant spitting up issue when he was really little).
He slept with Mom and Dad last night, and was looking good this morning (Mom is staying at home with him). She may have gotten too excited and gave him too much to drink, and he cried and out it came again. These pics were taken a short time ago when he laid down by himself (you know he's not feeling well when he actually lays down!!) yet he still kept poking his head up and smiling and even laughing. Soon he went to sleep.

Update as we approach 19 months
Jack's manners are improving! He is in time out much less because he hits much less, and listens much more. When he gets enough sleep, he is a really good boy. We are putting him to bed earlier (and he actually wants to go earlier!) Sometimes he even gets excited when going to bed. He only very occasionally cries when put to bed now. He likes to help even more, and is clearly understanding more. He nods and says "ya" when you have figured out what he wants.
He says "eyebrow" like a pro now, and has been able to name all other facial features for some time.
We can't wait for our visit to WA!!

Happy Mother's Day!
These pics were taken a few weeks ago for the Parents Magazine contest. Jack did not win out of thousands of entries...but it seemed to be just a popularity contest anyway-- not really legitimate. The top one (in this set, with the tie dyed shirt) is the one that we entered.
