18 months Drs visit, airplanes

Jack had 3 shots at his last visit! The good news is that he does not have to get any more until he is 4. He weighed in at 22lbs 8oz, in the 10th %. His height is 31", in the 15th%. His head circumference is in the 55th%! The Dr said that Jack is doing everything he needs to be doing at this age (kicking a ball, walking up and down the stairs with help, mimicking things we do, etc).

Every night he has to watch airplane videos on youtube before he goes to bed. "Haplane" is right up there with "car" these days.

Happy year and a half today, Jack!

Jack was so tired out today at daycare that he fell asleep while eating his spaghetti! His head was right in it. He continues to be car-obsessed. He even said "wheel" yesterday. He is such a BOY. Right now he is sitting with his Dad and oohing and aahhing over planes and spaceships.

Another favorite pastime of Jack's is looking at books and naming as much as he can. His most impressive is probably "goggles" (for his bathtime/water book). All he wants to do these days is to go outside to play.

New things with Jack

Jack is starting to want to bring cars with him when he goes places - like upstairs, in the car, or on a walk in his stroller. He is proud to say "animal" (or an-mal) and can name many different kinds like lions, tigers, owls... He is starting to grab things off the tops of counters so we are being more careful. Today at daycare, Mom forgot to grab his coat on the way out. He said "coat" as a reminder.

He has been in time out a lot lately because of hitting and throwing things (at home, anyway). If we take him by the hand to guide him somewhere and he is not having it, he is starting to fall to the ground. He was better today- but lately we have been getting a preview of the 'terrible twos.' It is supposed to be wind down/bed time right now....but he just got his second wind. He is running around the house squealing. He is so fast! He also likes to help (and says the word 'help') around the house with sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, etc. The other day he said 'happy' for the first time. He is really repeating things lately.

A few random things before Easter photos

Adding more counter space in the kitchen...Jack tests it out.
When he first sat in there, he had the funniest self-satisfied look on his face. Then he started to giggle. By the time this photo was taken, this was all of the look that was left.
