"Older" video

This video shows Jack enthralled with the movie "Up." This was also his first time sitting in his new carseat. He says "buh" for balloon and "baby."

17 months and counting

Now that J is nearly a year and a half.... he can say two and nearly 3 syllable words! First he said "out" and "side," now he sometimes puts them together for "outside." Today he even made a very nice attempt at "animal." (There is an online animal alphabet that he loves). He says "apple" perfectly and can identify his toes, the foot on his big bear, the broom, (of course cars), plants, flowers, butterflies ("fly"), fish, chair, and more. Lately he has been enjoying Skype and chatting with the fam. Last weekend we went to Run Away With Cirque du Soleil. So much fun! Jack loved it. Here he is enjoying the Springs Preserve after the Cirque people went home, then on our ride home.

16 months, going on 17!

Hey, I'm part Irish!
Relaxing in his new carseat, complete with cupholder.
He was watching the movie "Up"-- the only thing he will sit and watch, is that movie.

Jack has been practicing feeding himself. He even says "mess" (or "met" in his case)

Jack walked to the candy store and each kid at daycare picked out the candy they wanted last Friday. He chose a blue one shaped like a bottle. Guess it left an impression on him! He was cranky then because he was woken up from his nap.

What?

Jack now says, "what?" It's pretty cute. He really emphasizes the 't'. He also is very firm with his "no's". He also says "p" for plane when he hears one and looks for it in the sky. He still says car ALL the time. He says bath, water, clothes, shirt, pants...he also tells the cats to get "down" off the table.

He gets around so quick now. Today at daycare when someone was leaving he shot out the door like a rocket, smiling. I just happened to be walking up then- but they saw him race out anyway.

His molars have been coming in more lately. He finally has a new, bigger carseat on the way because he is about 25 lbs!

The first video shows his surprised reaction/he likes what he sees, or just being silly reaction.
