A Good Boy

Jack has been doing really really well ever since his bad stint. (After about 4 days of Sad Notes!)  Maybe it was taking away each one of his toys, movies, robot videos, etc. for over two full days. He held out for awhile....but finally decided to be good. After two days of goodness at school he was great over the weekend and continues to be good this week. He even seems to be happier. Maybe it is all of the extra hugs he gives his friends now at school. He has not been perfect....he threw puzzle pieces and knocked the teachers pile of blankets over today. BUT he has not pushed, hit, kicked, etc. He has been on the receiving end of biting though.

Last weekend we went to the Raptor Exhibit Springs Preserve. A bird flew right over our heads...so close that you could feel the breeze and it's wings even touched Mom's head! This weekend they are having a festival for kids so we will go to that one too.

Consequences

Maybe the lack of toys is finally kicking in for Jack. Yesterday we cleared out all of his toys. Packed up every last car, robot, and puzzle piece. For two days he has played in the backyard with a stick and an imaginary monkey that keeps hiding. Today he is showing signs of boredom. Hope this finally makes him turn around and be a good boy at school.

We had 3 days in a row of "Sad Notes" from the teacher. Nothing like showing up at your child's school to be handed notes written from his teacher about him hitting, kicking, and pushing his friends repeatedly. Then today he pushed one of his best buddies off something in the playground. So now with no TV, computer, or toys, maybe he is FINALLY realizing that he must be nice.

Milestone!

Jack's first dentist appointment was today! No cavities, of course. He was a really good boy and enjoyed sitting in the big chair. They had Ice Age playing on the ceiling for him to watch but he was more interested in what the dentist was doing. He got a good teeth cleaning and polish along with two toothbrushes!

He enjoyed it so much that he even requested to go back tomorrow after school.
